It isn’t an app, a subscription, or something posted to you. You add your own family photos and words, and then either use it on screen or print it at home. It’s yours to keep and works with no internet connection.

Yes — and please do. Every product has a full, free, working demo with no email address required. Add a real photo of your child and have a proper go.

The demo is the real product with saving and printing switched off. If it works on your device, the paid version will too.

No. One payment, and the file is yours permanently. Nothing renews, nothing expires, and no feature quietly disappears later.

Neither. Everything opens in the browser you already have — Safari, Chrome, Firefox or Edge. There’s nothing to install from an app store.

You can make an account on our shop if you want your downloads kept in one place, but it’s entirely optional. Guest checkout works fine.

Yes, though there’s no automatic gifting option at checkout yet. Buy it as normal and forward the download email, or email us and we’ll send it directly to whoever you like on a date you choose.

Links last 90 days and allow 5 downloads, which is a deterrent against mass sharing rather than a limit on you.

If yours has run out, just ask. We’ll reset it free of charge, however long ago you bought it. You won’t be asked to pay twice.

Yes. Your purchase is on our records permanently. If you created an account it’ll be under My Downloads; if you checked out as a guest, email us and we’ll sort it.

That said — the file is yours. Keep your own copy somewhere safe and you’ll never need to ask.

Open the file, then tap or click any photo slot. Your device’s normal photo picker appears — choose a picture from your camera roll or take one there and then.

Once it’s in, drag it to reposition and use the zoom slider to frame it properly. Faces tend to look best fairly close in.

As often as you like, forever. These aren’t locked PDFs. New term, new interests, new baby brother — just open it and change it.

The Reward Chart does — stars, streaks and pocket money totals are saved automatically in that browser on that device, so daily use just works.

The other products save when you press Save, which downloads a copy of your book with everything in it. Open that copy to carry on where you left off.

Copy the file over however you’d move any file: AirDrop, email it to yourself, or a cloud folder. Then open it on the new device.

For the Reward Chart, use Settings → Back up progress on the old device first, then restore that backup on the new one so streaks and totals come with you.

Yes. Every product has a reset or “start fresh” option, and you’ll always be asked to confirm before anything is wiped.

Completely. Once the file is on your device it never needs a connection again — no servers, no logins, no checks. Handy on planes, in the car, and in settings with patchy Wi-Fi.

A4, A5, US Letter and square — you choose before printing. Ordinary printer paper is fine, though slightly heavier paper feels nicer if you’re making something to keep.

This is the most common issue, and it’s a browser setting rather than a fault.

In the print window, open More settings and tick Background graphics (Chrome and Edge) or Print backgrounds (Safari and Firefox). Browsers switch this off by default to save ink.

Yes. Print to PDF first — choose Save as PDF as the destination in the print window — then send that PDF to the shop.

Because everything is made from your own photos, high-street print shops won’t refuse it on copyright grounds the way they sometimes do with licensed characters.

We’d recommend it, especially for reward charts and busy books. Laminated pages survive small hands, and you can write on them with a whiteboard pen and wipe them clean — so one print lasts all year.

Set the scale to 100% rather than “Fit to page”, and check the paper size in the print window matches the size you picked in the product. Margins set to Default or None usually gives the best result.

No. Never. Everything happens inside your browser, on your device. Photos are read from your device and written into your own file. They are not sent to us, not stored on a server, and not backed up anywhere by us.

We could not look at your photos if we wanted to. There’s no mechanism for it.

None. Names, ages, photos, tasks and stories all stay on your device. The only personal data we hold is yours as the buyer — name, email and billing details — as described in our Privacy Policy.

No analytics, no adverts, no third-party scripts, no data collection of any kind. The products don’t contact the internet at all once downloaded.

Anyone caring for your children can use your copy — grandparents, your childminder, a babysitter. That’s expected and completely fine.

What isn’t allowed is passing copies to other families, posting it in groups, or uploading it anywhere. If a friend wants it, send them the free demo — they can try the whole thing before deciding.

Every copy we sell is generated individually with the buyer’s name, order number and a licence reference written into it. It means a file shared publicly can be traced back to the order it came from.

We’re upfront about this because we think you should know. It’s also the reason we can keep selling one-off files at a fair price instead of moving to subscriptions, logins or products that expire. Nothing is reported back to us — the marking simply sits in your file.

Not on the standard licence, which covers one family — but there’s a settings licence for exactly this, and it’s friendly rather than restrictive.

It suits childminders, nursery rooms, classrooms, SEN specialists and speech and language practitioners, and includes bulk pricing and a proper invoice. Get in touch with rough numbers of children and staff and we’ll sort something sensible.

The file needs to open in a browser, not a text editor. Right-click it and choose Open with → Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge.

On an iPad, open the Files app, tap the file, and choose to open it in Safari.

Usually an incomplete download. Download it again and make sure it finishes.

It can also happen in very old browsers. Everything works on current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge — updating usually fixes it.

Check your browser has permission to access photos — on iPhone and iPad that’s Settings → Safari → Camera & Photo access.

Very large photos from a good camera can also be slow. Anything from a phone is fine.

Check the device isn’t muted or on silent, and that the mute button inside the product is off. Read-aloud uses your device’s built-in voice, so it needs a voice installed — standard on every phone, tablet and computer.

It won’t work in Private or Incognito mode in some browsers.

Reward Chart progress is stored in the browser, so it’s cleared if you wipe browsing data, use Private mode, or open the file in a different browser to the one you set it up in.

Use Settings → Back up progress regularly, and always before clearing your browser. That backup restores everything.
